Brand Strategist - The role

This is a real hybrid role that requires someone to combine strategic thinking with project management. You'll also have the opportunity to work closely with the client to build relationships. A great opportunity for someone curious and positive to develop great strategic and overall agency skills further, working alongside some dynamic colleagues. Brand Strategist - Responsibilities

        Strategy development

  • Simplify the complex and bring clarity
  • Develop an understanding of clients’ businesses – including key challenges and potential resolutions – to build strategy, project design and delivery
  • Communicate ideas coherently and ensure the strategy is delivered in the most appropriate way for the client
  • Conduct appropriate research and investigation
  • Identify, brief and coordinate third parties and collaborators

       Project management

  • Manage project scope, deliverables and responsibilities and prioritise work streams to ensure consistent delivery, on time, on budget and on brief
  • Ensure best practice in the design, management and delivery of all projects
  • Manage workflow of team and identify resourcing requirements 
  • Build and develop high level client relationships, gaining clients’ trust and respect for the agency’s expertise
  • Develop stakeholder relationships during and beyond client project delivery 

Financial management

  • Track and manage project scope, resources, budget and fees
  • Negotiate fees and additional fees if needed
  • Identify ways to increase the company’s profitability

       Business development

  • Identify, prioritise and convert new leads from both existing and new clients
  • Follow relevant sector and competitor information to stay abreast of market developments and opportunities

Brand Strategist - Skills

  • Ideally 5-6 years’ experience in brand, marketing or purpose related disciplines
  • Solid understanding and appreciation of the value and role of brand and purpose
  • Experience of working alone, and in a team, to deliver exceptional results
  • Experience of working in and/or with large, complex organisations
  • Experience of working in client facing roles is useful but not essential
  • Be analytical and imaginative
