Major Players are working alongside the world’s largest marine electronics and sports company who are looking for a Senior Copywriter to make up their in-house Marketing team.  This multinational innovative company is at the forefront of navigation for both recreational and commercial marine systems.  This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a global leading brand; passionate about innovation and technology!


The Role / Company

This company is producing products under other leading brands; with a product range from fishing to cruising to sailing to professional markets. This company has a commitment to quality products for performance, safety and enjoyment on the water. These brands are sold in more than 100 countries worldwide, with an estimate of more than 1 million boaters using their cutting-edge technology.

As Lead Copywriter, you’ll be working alongside the brand teams to craft impactful and disruptive through-the-line communications, using your craft to implement and unpack the creative potential of their brands and acting as overall guardian of the brand tone of voice.  Senior Copywriter responsibilities include writing original copy and slogans for advertising campaigns, editing and publishing articles and maintaining brand consistency across online channels.

As part of the team, you will allow the company to engage with their target audiences across the variety of channels (internal/external) in their key territories, to drive growth and improve customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice

  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements

  • Collaborate with designers, PR and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)

  • Conduct high-quality research and interview clients, industry experts and internal teams

  • Use SEO principles to maximise copy’s reach

  • Write original copy for ads and social networks

  • Prepare and publish articles that describe our company and products

  • Edit and fact-check pieces of content generated by colleagues

  • Use SEO practices to optimize articles and increase visibility

  • Liaise with Designers to enrich text with visual aids, like images and charts

  • Shape language and tone used in sales emails, banners and brochures


Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years-experience in the workplace with a proven track record in copywriting

  • Strong portfolio of published articles & creative work

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Proven work experience as a Senior Copywriter, Product Copywriter or similar role (creative agencies)

  • An ability to write creative copy both for large pieces of content (e.g. product descriptions) and smaller texts (e.g. social media posts)

  • Solid time-management skills

  • Good understanding of digital, TV, social channels and print campaigns

  • Higher qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism and/or relevant field

  • Marine knowledge is advantageous

  • Good knowledge of digital and social marketing

  • A hard worker with a great sense of humour that enjoys working in a multifaceted team

Salary & Perks

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience - £35,000 – 42,000 + benefits
