Becoming a Senior Advertising Strategist

As a Senior Advertising Strategist you will work with a talented group of media specialists and brand strategists to bring great ideas to life and create award winning campaigns.

As a Senior Advertising Strategist at TG you will:

  • Build and maintain client relationships, in support of Accounts colleagues, whilst continuing to build out new business opportunities for media buying services
  • Contribute to data-driven campaign strategies and the analysis of TG's paid media and marketing campaigns
  • Develop media plans for digital advertising and media buying opportunities, including making informed recommendations for platform/channel mix, target audiences, tactics and media formats for campaigns
  • Set up, monitor and update digital advertising campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snap and other social media platforms
  • Set up, monitor and update PPC, programmatic and search advertising campaigns
  • Report on and optimise current and new digital advertising campaigns
  • Liaise with media partners and vendors
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on paid ad campaigns for various accounts
  • Be a problem solver for complex campaigns, and keep calm under pressure
  • Stay abreast of industry trends to ensure TG is at the forefront of ever changing digital requirements
  • Support with the preparation of thought leadership content for consideration across TG globally, and for possible public distribution
  • Support and contribute to pitch development for new clients in the paid advertising space
  • Manage your workload across multiple projects and deadlines
  • Identify best practices across media and advertising strategy
  • Take initiative and be able to solve problems quickly
  • Share knowledge about current and upcoming media and advertising trends
  • Liaise with other departments including creative, strategy, technology and accounts specialists to support the delivery of client projects
  • Offer advice and assist junior members of the team, and work with senior colleagues to develop your skills


What you bring to the role:

  • 3-4 years + experience working as a paid media specialist within a relevant field
  • Experience working across digital advertising campaigns
  • A strong understanding of advertising and digital campaigns and strategies
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of digital advertising platforms, especially pertaining to media campaign strategy, configuration and reporting
  • Project management skills and experience working on project management systems
  • Enthusiasm and professionalism, with a strong interest in world issues, business and current affairs
  • Commercial and budget awareness
  • Creativity and adaptability to be able to conceptualise original and bespoke ideas
  • Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills
  • An eye for quality and exceptional attention to detail
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Excellent data manipulation skills using Excel or equivalent platforms
