We have a really exciting opportunity for a Senior Copywriter to join a world-recognised environmental and sustainable company.They are seeking a Senior Copywriter to join their marketing and creative team. Offices are based in central London and they are offering flexi remote working. They are looking to hire asap so will look at freelancers aswell as permanent candidates.

THE ROLE
The Senior Content Writer will provide content for our internal and external communications. You will be responsible for creating content for press releases, media articles, product launches, blog content, webinars, and scripts. This includes working with staff to create accurate, engaging and clear content that meets the needs of internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITES

Copywriting

  • Hands-on copywriting and content creation including editing and proofreading
  • Adapt your writing format to both digital and print
  • Regular technical writing (product guides, guides, internal documents, proposals)
  • Create both short and long-form texts, within print and digital media, adding value to marketing, brand and communication outcomes
  • Develop ideas and creativity to deliver engaging content to our audience
External Communications
  • Working with the marketing team to provide concise thorough leadership and comms strategy across Safety, Sustainability and Social Welfare
  • Writing content for external communications, including press releases, blog content, articles in the media and quotes for company spokespeople, webinars, scripts and helping with power point presentations at maritime conferences
  • Working with our external PR Agency to develop strategic messaging, briefing documents and proofing articles before publishing
  • Write content for marketing, including content for the website, product pages, customers pages, sales packs, advertising copy, newsletters
Internal Communications
  • Supporting the company through internal communications, working with HR, Marketing and the Leadership Team
  • Work with the operations teams to produce white papers, data insights, lessons learned and other resources which the industry can use to increase standards in safety, sustainability and social welfare
  • Liaise with the marketing team and help support metrics around increasing the number of people signing up to our newsletter, social media channels and webinar series.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Some maritime knowledge would be preferable
  • Experience writing for technical / corporate companies (e.g. finance, insurance, engineering etc.) across a variety of materials, including sales, marketing, press and internal materials
  • Work with speed, unafraid to ask for additional support from the team, take edits and criticism of work well
  • A clear, concise written tone of voice
  • Fantastic attention to detail and ability to proof read
  • Relaxed interview style (we interview people across the industry for our blogs as well as internally)
  • Ability to clearly and simply explain complicated concepts
