Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager - Sports business

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager. We would consider anyone who gets sales, new business generation or how to attract key stakeholders and entice them into partnership opportunities. 

This is a fascinating role, and a very important one for this team! 

This role is working within the Commercial team of a huge sports related organisation who are based in Oxfordshire. You would ideally be based in the county or nearby, or happy to commute or relocate. They work 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

They need a Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager, someone who will sit right at the centre of the commercial team, and you'll help to attract and bring in new partners and sponsors for this sports team. 

They have a very interesting strategy, and it works. There are huge sporting events within the calendar year, all around the world - Asia, US, UK, Australia and more. The business is looking to attract the biggest and best sponsors, and in doing so they are keen to invite C-Suite, CEOs and business leaders to these sporting events so first hand they can experience them. 

The business itself is a huge sports operation, and they are the rights holder. They already attract some great brand partners, and they need a smart, strategic Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager who can manage and oversee this globally. The Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager will think about which brands are right for which market, territory and who they should be inviting to these sporting events so they get to experience them from start to finish. The aim would then be for the commercial team to take over, and hopefully convert them into partners.

You'll be part of a very impressive team, and you need to be someone who is highly driven, sales focused with amazing attention to detail. You'll be a Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager who can compile lists and contacts for brands in various regions, then you'll invite them to the sporting events, and work out who is and isn't attending, and then work closely with the leadership commercial team to manage what's happening on the day. You'll be super comfortable working with a wide range of people internally. We need a Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager with outstanding project management experience. 

The business has leads coming from all directions, and partners want to get involved with them. They do outreach, cold calling, and have an agency on board who help them find brand partners. They need a Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager who can manage the outreach for brands, get them excited about the events and the wider opportunity to partner with this sports rights holder. The business is huge, with lots of heritage and we need a focused Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager who can really own this, and manage everything for the team. 

This would suit a Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager who has done something similar, it could be within B2B or IT events, could be within a new business role within a creative agency, or any working environment that encourages senior stakeholders to come to events! The role would suit a Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager who is used to working in a hugely proactive role, where your strategic and commercial opinion really matters. You'll have access to the marketing, creative and strategic teams at this brand, creatives and designers and the marketing guys. And of course the senior leadership commercial guys. The Commercial Campaign Manager / Business Development Manager will be heavily supported.
